Beausejour Duffau Lagarrosse 1990 is a Bordeaux wine from a renowned Saint-Émilion estate. This vintage displays an intense concentration with colour reaching deep purple at the rim. Aromas include dark fruit, notably blackcurrants and plums, alongside subtle notes of cedar and earth. The tannins are prominent, providing structure, while acidity remains restrained, allowing for a lengthy finish. This wine reflects the estate’s commitment to quality and terroir, highlighting its ability to evolve over time. The 1990 vintage can be appreciated now but has the potential for further development.

Deep ruby to the rim. Extravagant aromas of black fruits, violets, and toffee. Voluptuous and sweet; this has outstanding concentration but with so much baby fat there's little delineation on the palate. Finishes with a kick of alcohol and substantial ripe tannins. Very dense, but while a flight of other top right-bank wines were sending off fireworks in the glass, this chunky wine sat like a lump of coal. Stephen Tanzer1st November 1993
