Château Beauregard is a renowned wine producer located within the Pomerol appellation of Bordeaux. The estate spans approximately 17.5 hectares of vineyards, primarily planted with Merlot, Cabernet Franc and smaller amounts of Cabernet Sauvignon. The estate is currently owned by the Moulin family, who acquired it in 2014. This release is the 1998 vintage of its Grand Vin. Generally regarded as a very good year, 1998 was characterized by favourable weather conditions, including a warm and dry summer, which allowed the grapes to ripen fully and develop excellent flavour profiles.
88 Robert Parker
The deep ruby/purple-colored 1998 Beauregard exhibits a perfume of smoke, black cherry cough syrup, chocolate, and smoky wood. Thick, tannic, and medium to full-bodied, it will benefit from 2-3 years of cellaring, and keep for 15. - Robert M. Parker, Jr.
