Domaine Jacques Prieur is a prestigious wine producer based in Meursault Since 2008 the estate has been led Edouard Labruyère who took over from his father, Jean-Pierre, an influential Burgundian entrepreneur. This particular cuvée hails from Clos de la Féguine, a premier cru of the Beaune appellation and a monopole of Domaine Jacques Prieur. On the nose, aromas of flint, oyster shell, white pepper and slightly toasty notes. The palate is rich and refreshing, with hints of anise and lemon.

Vinous
Bright yellow. Cool aromas of nectarine, sexy flowers and herbs. Densely packed but more closed on the palate than the Champs-Pimont, even slightly bitter-edged. This very backward, youthfully hard wine needs time to come into balance. There was less hail here than in Champs-Pimont, noted enologist Nadine Gublin, but the estate nevertheless lost 50% of this fruit in 2014.Stephen Tanzer1st September 2016
