Barolo Ravera Vietti 2013 is a Barolo red wine from the Ravera vineyard in the Novello commune. This single-vineyard wine is crafted from 100% Nebbiolo grapes, cultivated on calcareous-clay soils that contribute to its structure and complexity. The wine underwent a 32-month maturation in large Slavonian oak, which allows for subtle integration of oak while retaining the fruit`s integrity. The 2013 vintage, marked by a cool climate, offers a profile of dark cherries, earthy nuances and hints of floral notes, promising further evolution with time.

The 2013 Barolo Ravera is a real stunner. An exceptional, brilliant wine, the 2013 Barolo Ravera possesses breathtaking aromatics, translucent fruit and energy to burn. In 2013, the Ravera is dark and brooding, with fabulous intensity and the linear, focused precision that is the signature of this site in Novello. I have tasted and followed the 2013 Ravera for a number of years. It has never been anything less than thrilling. It is all that and more today. Readers who can find the 2013 should not hesitate, as it is tremendous.Antonio Galloni1st February 2017
