Prunotto Barolo Bussia 1989 is a single-vineyard Nebbiolo from one of Barolo’s most historic producers. Prunotto, founded in the 1920s by Alfredo Prunotto, has built a reputation for crafting expressive wines from some of Piedmont’s finest sites. The Bussia vineyard in Monforte d’Alba is one of the region’s most esteemed, known for its amphitheatre-shaped slopes and well-draining soils. The 1989 vintage is regarded as one of Barolo’s greatest, producing powerful, long-lived wines with remarkable structure. Aged for at least 18 months in oak, this Barolo offers a complex bouquet of dark cherry, dried rose, liquorice, and truffle, with refined tannins and impressive depth. Now at peak maturity, it is a benchmark Bussia expression with superb ageing potential.
