Duty Charges

Below is a summary of the new duty charges per bottle as of February 2026. Please note that these vary depending on the ABV and are subject to change. Please get in touch if you require more information:

Transparent Billing and Rate Calculations

Annual Billing: Clients are invoiced annually based on the wines stored in the preceding year.
Case Equivalents: A case is defined as 9 litres of wine (typically twelve 750ml bottles), ensuring clarity in pricing.
Pro-Rata Charges: Storage fees are charged on a per-bottle basis, and wines stored for part of a month will be billed accordingly.

How to Use Our Bonded Storage

Purchase en primeur or under-bond wines from Hedonism Wines.
Automatically enjoy twelve months of free storage at our bonded storage when you open your storage account.
After twelve months, your storage will continue at the rates outlined above, with quarterly invoicing.
When you are ready to receive your wines, simply request delivery. Most orders are fulfilled within 3-4 working days.

Barbaresco Rabajà Giacosa 2013 showcases the distinct terroir of the Rabajà vineyard, historically significant in Barbaresco`s winemaking. This vintage reflects Giacosa`s meticulous approach, characterised by a structural backbone and nuanced depth. The wine is aged in large oak casks, which allows its inherent qualities to develop gradually. The estate, renowned for its adherence to traditional methods, acquired this parcel in the 2010s, highlighting Giacosa`s commitment to producing regionally diverse expressions of Nebbiolo.

The 2013 Barbaresco Rabajà is terrific. Vibrant in color, aromatics and fruit, the 2013 exudes class from start to finish. The dark cherry, plum, lavender and spice flavors are beautifully delineated throughout in a sculpted, chiseled Barbaresco loaded with personality. The 2013 does not quite have the depth or pedigree of the very finest Giacosa Barbarescos, nor does it reach the level of the 2001 (Riserva), 2004 or 2005, but it is nevertheless very fine. More importantly, the 2013 suggests Giacosa is on the road to making at least sound and competent wines. It remains to be seen if Giacosa can climb the ladder and join Piedmont's elite producers again. Regardless, I was absolutely thrilled to taste the 2013 Rabajà, which is also the first Barbaresco Giacosa has made from a newly acquired parcel that previously belonged to Lorenzo Alutto's Ca' du Rabajà. Bruno Giacosa

Piedmonte Pioneers

Born in 1945, Bruno Giacosa began working at his father's wine cellar at the age of 16. Without formal training, Bruno rose to become one of Italy's greatest winemakers, producing some of Piedmont's most iconic reds. Producing both Barolo and Barbaresco, Bruno focussed heavily on sourcing fruit from the finest crus in the area. The estate only began building up vineyard holdings in the early 1980s and today have around 20 hectares under vine.

Bruno passed away in 2018 and since then the winery has been managed by his daughter Bruna who continues the traditional of careful winemaking and terroir-focussed grape selection. Since 2012 the winery have produced Barolo and Barbaresco entirely from estate-grown fruit. In extra special vintages a red-label Reserva is bottled, representing the very peak of fine Piedmontese winemaking. The purity of the fruit is the primary concern the team at Giacosa, ageing takes place in large, untoasted inactive barrels for around 20 months.
