Built in 1892 by the Grants of Glenfiddich, The Balvenie is situated near the remains of a 14th-century castle bearing the same name. This charming distillery is positioned just a brief distance from Glenfiddich, and both enterprises continue to be owned by the Grant family. Presented here is a vintage release from Balvenie`s renowned `Single Barrel` collection –a 15-year-old single malt meticulously selected from a single traditional oak whisky cask of a singular distillation.

Crafted with Care

One of Speyside's most famous single malts, located in Dufftown and owned by William Grant and Sons. The distillery was founded in the late 1800s by William Grant, who worked at the Mortlach distillery nearby. Master Distiller David Stewart is credited with making Balvenie the powerhouse we know today.

David worked at Balvenie for many decades and introduced many innovations that are now widespread across the industry including 'cask finishes' where whiskies are aged for a period in ex-Bourbon wood before being finished for a relative short period in a more active barrel.
