Balvenie 60 Year Old is an ultra-rare single malt Scotch whisky from the Speyside region of Scotland. This bottling celebrates the six-decade career of Malt Master David C Stewart MBE, sourced from a single European oak hogshead filled in 1962. It possesses a sophisticated profile of lavender, incense and antique leather, underpinned by a signature honeyed sweetness. The spirit reflects the extreme patience required for long-term maturation, showing an elegant integration of oak and fruit that remains vibrant despite its immense age. This 60-year-old release stands as the oldest and rarest bottling ever produced by the distillery.

One of Speyside's most famous single malts, located in Dufftown and owned by William Grant and Sons. The distillery was founded in the late 1800s by William Grant, who worked at the Mortlach distillery nearby. Master Distiller David Stewart is credited with making Balvenie the powerhouse we know today.
David worked at Balvenie for many decades and introduced many innovations that are now widespread across the industry including 'cask finishes' where whiskies are aged for a period in ex-Bourbon wood before being finished for a relative short period in a more active barrel.
