The Balvenie 43 Year Old (2024 Release) is a Speyside single malt whisky distilled in 1980. Aromatic nuances include honey and cream alongside layers of spiced fruit, dried herbs and subtle wood. Located in Dufftown, Balvenie Distillery has operated since 1892 and remains one of the few distilleries to have its own malting floor. This whisky showcases the complexities developed over decades of maturation, presenting a rare tasting experience for those who appreciate long-aged single malts.

Crafted with Care

One of Speyside's most famous single malts, located in Dufftown and owned by William Grant and Sons. The distillery was founded in the late 1800s by William Grant, who worked at the Mortlach distillery nearby. Master Distiller David Stewart is credited with making Balvenie the powerhouse we know today.

David worked at Balvenie for many decades and introduced many innovations that are now widespread across the industry including 'cask finishes' where whiskies are aged for a period in ex-Bourbon wood before being finished for a relative short period in a more active barrel.
