Balvenie 25 Year Old Single Barrel Cask 76 1988 is a Speyside single malt distilled in 1988 and matured in a single Sherry cask. This expression was bottled at 46.9% ABV, offering a luxurious profile of honeycomb, dark fruits and toasted walnuts. The 25 years of maturation have produced a thick, velvety texture with layers of spice and oak resin that coat the palate. Only a limited number of bottles were released from this specific cask, ensuring a concentrated and rare experience of the distillery older stocks.

Crafted with Care

One of Speyside's most famous single malts, located in Dufftown and owned by William Grant and Sons. The distillery was founded in the late 1800s by William Grant, who worked at the Mortlach distillery nearby. Master Distiller David Stewart is credited with making Balvenie the powerhouse we know today.

David worked at Balvenie for many decades and introduced many innovations that are now widespread across the industry including 'cask finishes' where whiskies are aged for a period in ex-Bourbon wood before being finished for a relative short period in a more active barrel.
