Balvenie 17 Year Old Week of Peat is a distinctive single malt from the Balvenie Stories collection, produced during an annual week where peated malt is utilised. The whisky presents a complex aroma profile that includes sweet peat smoke, butterscotch, delicate floral notes, and honey. The palate reveals layers of oaky vanilla, orange zest, and sweet cream, all underpinned by a rich, smoky essence.

One of Speyside's most famous single malts, located in Dufftown and owned by William Grant and Sons. The distillery was founded in the late 1800s by William Grant, who worked at the Mortlach distillery nearby. Master Distiller David Stewart is credited with making Balvenie the powerhouse we know today.
David worked at Balvenie for many decades and introduced many innovations that are now widespread across the industry including 'cask finishes' where whiskies are aged for a period in ex-Bourbon wood before being finished for a relative short period in a more active barrel.
