The Balvenie 15 Year Old Single Sherry Cask, distilled in 1989, presents a rare example of Speyside whisky craftsmanship. Aged exclusively in a single sherry cask, it showcases rich notes of dried fruit, nutty undertones, and subtle spice, reflecting the influence of its wood maturation. The Balvenie Distillery, founded in 1892, is unique for its hand-crafted methods, including maintaining its own malting floors. This expression offers a glimpse into the distillery`s commitment to traditional practices and quality.

Crafted with Care

One of Speyside's most famous single malts, located in Dufftown and owned by William Grant and Sons. The distillery was founded in the late 1800s by William Grant, who worked at the Mortlach distillery nearby. Master Distiller David Stewart is credited with making Balvenie the powerhouse we know today.

David worked at Balvenie for many decades and introduced many innovations that are now widespread across the industry including 'cask finishes' where whiskies are aged for a period in ex-Bourbon wood before being finished for a relative short period in a more active barrel.
