Balvenie 15 Year Old Single Barrel Cask 3374 1980 is a Speyside single malt distilled on 16 October 1980 and matured in a single bourbon barrel. This expression was bottled on 07 May 1996 at 50.4% ABV, representing the distillery pure house style before the move towards Sherry finishes. The profile delivers the essential honeyed malt character, barley sugar sweetness and vanilla notes characteristic of traditional American oak maturation. Each bottle is hand-numbered and non-chill filtered to preserve the oil-rich texture and cereal depth of the 1980s spirit.

Crafted with Care

One of Speyside's most famous single malts, located in Dufftown and owned by William Grant and Sons. The distillery was founded in the late 1800s by William Grant, who worked at the Mortlach distillery nearby. Master Distiller David Stewart is credited with making Balvenie the powerhouse we know today.

David worked at Balvenie for many decades and introduced many innovations that are now widespread across the industry including 'cask finishes' where whiskies are aged for a period in ex-Bourbon wood before being finished for a relative short period in a more active barrel.
