Balvenie 14 Year Old Week of Peat 2002 is a peated Speyside single malt produced during the Balvenie distillery`s annual malting week. This 2002 vintage layers a gentle, earthy smoke over the spirit`s signature honey and orchard fruit character. Matured entirely in American oak barrels and bottled at 48.3%, the whisky possesses a bright gold hue and a creamy texture, with notes of vanilla, citrus and a subtle damp woodland bonfire. It is a sophisticated and balanced peated malt, providing a bridge between traditional craftsmanship and the rugged traditions of Scottish whisky.

Crafted with Care

One of Speyside's most famous single malts, located in Dufftown and owned by William Grant and Sons. The distillery was founded in the late 1800s by William Grant, who worked at the Mortlach distillery nearby. Master Distiller David Stewart is credited with making Balvenie the powerhouse we know today.

David worked at Balvenie for many decades and introduced many innovations that are now widespread across the industry including 'cask finishes' where whiskies are aged for a period in ex-Bourbon wood before being finished for a relative short period in a more active barrel.
