Balvenie 12 Year Old Triple Cask originates from the Speyside region of Scotland and is crafted by the Balvenie Distillery, one of the few distilleries that still grows its own barley, malts its own grain, and has its own cooperage. This expression is matured in three distinct cask types. European oak sherry, first fill bourbon and refill bourbon casks. The result is a balanced whisky with notes of honey, vanilla, and subtle spices, highlighting the complexities achievable through varied maturation methods.

One of Speyside's most famous single malts, located in Dufftown and owned by William Grant and Sons. The distillery was founded in the late 1800s by William Grant, who worked at the Mortlach distillery nearby. Master Distiller David Stewart is credited with making Balvenie the powerhouse we know today.
David worked at Balvenie for many decades and introduced many innovations that are now widespread across the industry including 'cask finishes' where whiskies are aged for a period in ex-Bourbon wood before being finished for a relative short period in a more active barrel.
