This innovative 12-year-old Balvenie was first aged in ex-bourbon barrels, followed by a final maturation process in virgin oak barrels from Kentucky. The result is a rich, complex and malty whisky with layers of vanilla toffee, brown sugar and oak spices. Bottled at 43% ABV, it’s a very approachable and versatile dram.

Crafted with Care

One of Speyside's most famous single malts, located in Dufftown and owned by William Grant and Sons. The distillery was founded in the late 1800s by William Grant, who worked at the Mortlach distillery nearby. Master Distiller David Stewart is credited with making Balvenie the powerhouse we know today.

David worked at Balvenie for many decades and introduced many innovations that are now widespread across the industry including 'cask finishes' where whiskies are aged for a period in ex-Bourbon wood before being finished for a relative short period in a more active barrel.
