Hedonism Wines is pleased to offer bonded storage to our clients, providing a secure, fully insured, and professionally managed facility for en primeur and under-bond purchases. Our storage service ensures that your fine wines are kept in optimal conditions until you are ready to enjoy them.

With over a decade of experience handling and storing fine wines and spirits, our facility maintains strict temperature and humidity controls to ensure your collection is preserved at its best.

Competitive storage rates: £15 per 12-bottle case per year, £7.50 per 6-bottle case per year, equivalent to £1.25 per standard bottle. Alternative formats will be charged accordingly.

Quick and efficient delivery: Wines can be cleared and delivered within the UK in 3-4 working days.
Quarterly invoicing for storage fees to keep the process simple and transparent.

Duty Charges

Below is a summary of the new duty charges per bottle as of February 2026. Please note that these vary depending on the ABV and are subject to change. Please get in touch if you require more information:

Transparent Billing and Rate Calculations

Annual Billing: Clients are invoiced annually based on the wines stored in the preceding year.
Case Equivalents: A case is defined as 9 litres of wine (typically twelve 750ml bottles), ensuring clarity in pricing.
Pro-Rata Charges: Storage fees are charged on a per-bottle basis, and wines stored for part of a month will be billed accordingly.

How to Use Our Bonded Storage

Purchase en primeur or under-bond wines from Hedonism Wines.
Automatically enjoy twelve months of free storage at our bonded storage when you open your storage account.
After twelve months, your storage will continue at the rates outlined above, with quarterly invoicing.
When you are ready to receive your wines, simply request delivery. Most orders are fulfilled within 3-4 working days.

While Château Ausone once held the coveted Premier Grand Cru Classé A status in Saint-Émilion, it made headlines in 2022 by voluntarily withdrawing from the classification, joining the likes of Cheval Blanc and other notable estates. The 2020 Ausone, composed of 50% Merlot and 50% Cabernet Franc, is deep garnet-purple in color. After a shake or two, the nose erupts with the most gorgeous perfume of juicy blueberries, baked black plums, and black raspberries, followed by nuances of pencil shavings, iron ore, rose oil, and black truffles with a waft of cedar. The medium to full-bodied palate is taut with shimmery, energetic black and blue berry layers, framed by super-ripe, super fine-grained tannins and seamless freshness, finishing with epic length and a whole firework display of floral, mineral, and bright, pure fruit notes. A stunning wine, that seduces with a creamy luscious kick of spiced raspberry and blueberry fruit on the first moments, then the more austere touch of limestone, with fingers of orange peel, lemongrass, steel and slate add a stricter character. This is just a masterclass in clever winemaking, in knowing exactly when to step back and let the terroir take over. The 2020 Ausone has a very crisp and precise bouquet, with a mixture of red and black fruit, crushed stone, black truffle and cedar that gains intensity in the glass. Medium in body, the palate is composed and refined with fine tannins. A taut yet brilliantly defined, pixelated finish goes on and on and on. Chateau Ausone

An Historic Saint-Émilion Estate

Named after the Roman poet Ausonius, who kept around 100 acres of vineyards in and around the area, Château Ausone is one of only four wines to be ranked Premier Grand Cru Classé A in the classification of Saint-Émilion wine. The winery is located on the Right Bank, close to the actual town of Saint-Émilion in Bordeaux. The smallest of the First Growths - with only seven hecatres of vines - 10% of which goes into producing the second wine, La Chapelle d'Ausone.

With its characteristic fresh limestone soils, Château Ausone produces wonderfully mineral red wines, all farmed organically. The key grape varieties are Cabernet Franc and Merlot, with smaller percentages of Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot also planted.
