Aubert Ritchie Chardonnay 2015 showcases the meticulous craftsmanship of winemaker Mark Aubert, known for his tenure at prestigious Napa Valley wineries such as Colgin and Bryant. Sourced from the esteemed Ritchie Vineyard, this Chardonnay presents notes of ripe stone fruit, citrus zest, and subtle herbal undertones. The wine embodies a distinct tension between richness and acidity, with hints of vanilla and oak lending complexity. Mark Aubert’s approach emphasises precision and clarity, making this wine a point of reference for California Chardonnays.

The 2015 Chardonnay Ritchie Vineyard is laced with the essence of lemon confit, slate, white flowers, white pepper and orchard fruit. The flavors are intense and bright, but there is no shortage of richness or intensity. In 2015, the Ritchie seems to capture all of the very best qualities of the year. It's a magical wine. Don't miss it. Antonio Galloni1st March 2017

Sublime Pinot Noir and Chardonnay

Aubert was founded by Mark and Theresa Aubert in 2000, located on the famous Silverado trail in Calistoga. Before he and his partner opened Aubert, Mark had gained experience at the Peter Michael Winery and Colgin Cellars and also made wine at a 'custom crush' facility in California. Aubert have some proprietary vineyards, around three and half acres in Sonoma, which they bottle under the 'UV' label. The remainder of the fruit is sourced from selected vineyards across Sonoma and Napa.

In the world of wine, Aubert is really a byword for world-class single vineyard or single block Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The vineyards they source from represent a mix of terroirs and include some old vines as well as some recent plantings. What remains consistent through all these bottlings is the preservation of fruit character and an extreme obsession with quality.
