As Caborcas 2022 is a single-vineyard field blend from Telmo Rodriguez, situated on the ancient terraces of the Bibei valley in Valdeorras. The site is a mosaic of granite and schist soils planted with Mencía, Merenzao, Sousón and Godello, all of which are co-fermented to capture the vineyard`s specific mineral identity. Rodriguez employs indigenous yeasts and large neutral oak foudres to ensure the wine retains its Atlantic freshness and floral aromatics. The 2022 vintage, though marked by summer heat, maintains a vibrant profile of wild berries, crushed stone and white pepper. Only 1,950 bottles were produced, making it a highly sought-after example of the resurgence of Galician viticulture.

The 2022 As Caborcas was produced with the field blend contained in the 80+-year-old vineyard on terraced granite soils on the banks of the Bibei River. It fermented with indigenous yeasts in small oak and stainless steel vats and matured in small oak vats for 15 months. This is very young and remained closed even after almost one hour in the glass. It keeps the poise and balance, showing its elegance, purity and character but not any heat. It has contained ripeness and 13% alcohol, a pH of 3.85 and 4.95 grams of acidity. 2,002 bottles produced.
