Duty Charges

Below is a summary of the new duty charges per bottle as of February 2026. Please note that these vary depending on the ABV and are subject to change. Please get in touch if you require more information:

Transparent Billing and Rate Calculations

Annual Billing: Clients are invoiced annually based on the wines stored in the preceding year.
Case Equivalents: A case is defined as 9 litres of wine (typically twelve 750ml bottles), ensuring clarity in pricing.
Pro-Rata Charges: Storage fees are charged on a per-bottle basis, and wines stored for part of a month will be billed accordingly.

How to Use Our Bonded Storage

Purchase en primeur or under-bond wines from Hedonism Wines.
Automatically enjoy twelve months of free storage at our bonded storage when you open your storage account.
After twelve months, your storage will continue at the rates outlined above, with quarterly invoicing.
When you are ready to receive your wines, simply request delivery. Most orders are fulfilled within 3-4 working days.

Arnaldo Caprai Montefalco Sagrantino 25 Anni 2018 showcases the distinct characteristics of 100% Sagrantino grapes from Umbria`s Montefalco region. This wine is crafted under stringent DOCG regulations, aged for 24 months in French oak barriques, followed by additional maturation in bottle. The 2018 vintage reflects a profile with dense tannins and complex notes derived from its oak ageing. Notably, Arnaldo Caprai is recognised for pioneering modern Sagrantino production, enhancing both quality and global reputation of the varietal. The 25 Anni, was first released in 1993 celebrating the 25th anniversary of the winery.

One of the headline wines of Umbria, the 2018 Montefalco Sagrantino 25 Anni gives us an important and complex expression of one of Italy`s most stubborn (and tannic) grape varieties. The workmanship behind this wine is precise and technique-based, and of course it`s reliant on the best fruit produced in these manicured vineyards. The results show a full-bodied style that is given momentum by ample fruit weight and a 15.5% alcohol content. Blackberry, cherry liqueur and baking chocolate segue to sweet oak and spicey mahogany. This is a production of 15,000 bottles.

An exotic and smoky mix of dusty dried flowers, allspice, sage and dried black cherries emerges from the hauntingly dark 2018 Montefalco Sagrantino 25 Anni. This is densely textural and weighty in feel, yet the balance is on point, as brisk acids maintain momentum, and a saturation of ripe red and black fruits permeate the palate. Balsam, mint, tobacco, dark chocolate and licorice can all be found through the long and utterly dramatic finale, as the 25 Anni finishes structured, yet more approachable than I’ve come to expect. Arnaldo Caprai did a great job in creating a highly successful wine in 2018; however, don’t expect it to take the usual ten years (or more) that this bottling usually does to come around.
