Duty Charges

Transparent Billing and Rate Calculations

Annual Billing: Clients are invoiced annually based on the wines stored in the preceding year.
Case Equivalents: A case is defined as 9 litres of wine (typically twelve 750ml bottles), ensuring clarity in pricing.
Pro-Rata Charges: Storage fees are charged on a per-bottle basis, and wines stored for part of a month will be billed accordingly.

How to Use Our Bonded Storage

Purchase en primeur or under-bond wines from Hedonism Wines.
Automatically enjoy twelve months of free storage at our bonded storage when you open your storage account.
After twelve months, your storage will continue at the rates outlined above, with quarterly invoicing.
When you are ready to receive your wines, simply request delivery. Most orders are fulfilled within 3-4 working days.

Ardmore Distillery, founded in 1898 in the Highlands of Scotland, is known for producing a distinctive lightly peated single malt whisky. Traditionally using Highland peat, Ardmore’s spirit balances gentle smokiness with a malty sweetness, making it a unique offering in the region.

Distilled at Ardmore in February 2025, this new make spirit has been filled into a sherry butt for maturation. With a filling strength of 63.5% ABV, the spirit is set to develop rich complexity under the influence of sherry-seasoned oak. The cask’s impact will enhance the whisky’s character over time, adding depth and richness to its evolving profile. Lightly peated (around 12-14 ppm), the new make spirit offers a balanced combination of sweetness and gentle smokiness. On the nose, fresh malted barley and orchard fruits mingle with soft phenolic notes. The palate presents sweet cereal and crisp apple, complemented by a delicate wisp of peat smoke. A clean finish lingers with malty sweetness and a subtle smoky edge, promising an elegant maturation journey.

The cask was filled on the 18th February 2025. At the time of filling, the cask was estimated to yield approximately 736 bottles. Included in the price is three years professional storage and insurance at Braeside Bond.

From Blends to Single Malts

Established in 1898, the distillery has a long and storied history. Ardmore was founded by Adam Teacher, who was a member of a prominent family of whisky blenders and merchants. Teacher's was a well-known brand in Scotland at the time, and Adam Teacher was looking to secure a supply of high-quality whisky to use in his blends. He saw an opportunity to do so by building his own distillery, and so he set about acquiring land and constructing the necessary buildings. Currently, Ardmore is part of the Japanese Beam Suntory group.

The distillery uses locally sourced barley, which is malted on-site in the traditional way. The malt is then milled and mashed with water from the nearby Knockandy Hill. The resulting wort is fermented using Ardmore's own strain of yeast. The resulting spirit is a bold Highland-styled malt with notes of honey, sweet vanilla and a gentle whiff of peat.
