Ardbeg 33 Year Old 1815 is a limited edition whisky, with only 400 bottles released, exclusively available from Ardbeg Embassy Stores. This expression commemorates the 200th anniversary of the distillery in 2015. Aged for 33 years, it features whisky distilled in 1974 from Ex-Bourbon barrels and 1975 from Ex-Sherry butts. Each bottle is personally signed by Michael Heads, the distillery manager. Ardbeg Distillery, located on the Isle of Islay, is renowned for its peated whiskies and rich heritage.

An Islay Icon

One of Scotland's most famous distilleries, Ardbeg is located on the isle of Islay, off the rugged west coast of Scotland. Founded in the early 1800s by John McDougall, the distillery has long been renowned for the heavily peaty spirits that flows from its stills. Ardbeg fell silent for eight years in the 1980s and distillation ceased. It was closed again the mid-1990s shortly before it was acquired by Glenmorangie, who restored the distillery to its former glory.

The distillery maintains around four core expressions, including the highly acclaimed Uigeadail, and regularly releases a number of themed limited editions as part of their committee release series and the annual "Ardbeg Day" celebrations.
