The Eisele Vineyard is one of the most iconic in Napa and is famed for producing stunning wines. The 1994 Cabernet combines unbelievable fruit purity and definition with profound natural power and richness. This is a knock-out vintage of one of the most Bordeaux-esque wines from California.
92 Vinous
(13.5% alcohol): Healthy dark red. Redcurrant, raspberry, tobacco, game and leather aromas are complicated by mineral and herb nuances. The palate offers sweet, plush flavors of bitter cherry, currant and exotic flowers. This wine strikes me as very different from the more recent vintages made here: less weighty and more precise. This is fully mature and going nowhere, but the finish is tangy, spicy and alive. Made by Tony Soter.Stephen Tanzer1st July 2015

A Napa Valley Icon

Another historic vineyard in Napa, first planted in the 1880s Eisele Vineyard sits in the northeast of the Napa Valley, east of Calistoga. Bart and Daphne Araujo converted the vineyards to organic farming in 1998 before moving to biodynamic practices in 2000. Broadly considered one of the great Cabernet Sauvignon terroirs in Napa, the wines continue to win praise from wine lovers and critics alike.

Eisele Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is the flagship wine, but the estate also producer a second wine called Altagracia, a Syrah and a Sauvignon Blanc. Before 2016, the wines were bottled under the Araujo label.
