Duty Charges

Below is a summary of the new duty charges per bottle as of February 2026. Please note that these vary depending on the ABV and are subject to change. Please get in touch if you require more information:

Transparent Billing and Rate Calculations

Annual Billing: Clients are invoiced annually based on the wines stored in the preceding year.
Case Equivalents: A case is defined as 9 litres of wine (typically twelve 750ml bottles), ensuring clarity in pricing.
Pro-Rata Charges: Storage fees are charged on a per-bottle basis, and wines stored for part of a month will be billed accordingly.

How to Use Our Bonded Storage

Purchase en primeur or under-bond wines from Hedonism Wines.
Automatically enjoy twelve months of free storage at our bonded storage when you open your storage account.
After twelve months, your storage will continue at the rates outlined above, with quarterly invoicing.
When you are ready to receive your wines, simply request delivery. Most orders are fulfilled within 3-4 working days.

Angélus is considered by many to be one of the finest estates in St Emilion and is accordingly ranked in the highest category - Premier Grand Cru Classé (A). The estate has been owned by the Boüard de Laforest family since 1909 and is currently managed by Stéphanie de Boüard-Rivoal.

A blend of 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Franc, the 2005 Angelus is deep garnet in color, with a touch of brick. It needs a fair bit of patient swirling to unlock notes of plum preserves, blueberry compote, fruitcake, and cigar box, plus suggestions of licorice and Sichuan pepper. The full-bodied palate is concentrated with black fruit and exotic spice layers, supported by firm, grainy tannins and seamless freshness, finishing on a long-lingering aniseed note.Lisa Perrotti-Brown7th February 2024

The 2005 Angélus is a gorgeous wine. Inky red fruit, mocha, espresso, dried flowers and iron give this potent, explosive Saint-Émilion tons of richness. The style is dense and heavily extracted - as was the norm at the time - and yet the 2005 is impeccably balanced. This is a magnificent showing from Hubert de Boüard, who has done so much to elevate the status of this once under-achieving property. Antonio Galloni1st April 2021

Purple with some paleness at rim. Big, bold and very ripe with no shortage of energy. Thick, sweet palate attack but pretty extracted on the finish. Quite exaggerated expression of what were obviously very charming ripe ingredients. Fast fade on the finish. (JR)

This prestigious Saint-Émilion estate produces superb Right Bank Bordeaux and has been in the de Boüard family since 1782. Spanning 39ha, the Château Angélus estate is planted to 50% Merlot, 47% Cabernet Franc and 3% Cabernet Sauvignon, and full conversion to completely organic farming began in 2018.

The estate's vines are positioned with perfect southern exposure on a sloping vineyard where the soils on lower potion are sandier and the upper portion richer in limestone and clay - perfect for both Cabernet Franc and Merlot. Along with the Grand Vin, a second wine, Le Carillon d’Angélus, as well as a third wine, No 3 d’ Angélus, are also made.
