Anakota Helena Dakota Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2011 is an expression of the unique terroir of the renowned Helena Dakota Vineyard in California`s Napa Valley. This Cabernet offers deep fruit notes, predominantly blackcurrant and plum, alongside subtle hints of cedar and earthy undertones. The wine exhibits a structured tannin profile, complementing its acidity. Anakota, founded by influential winemaker Pierre Seillan, is known for its careful vineyard management and focus on showcasing the nuances of the land. This vintage reflects the complexity of the 2011 growing season.
90 Vinous
(from cooler soil than the Montana, with a higher clay content): Bright, deep ruby. Reticent aromas of blueberry, licorice and crushed herbs. Less sweet in the mouth than the 2011 Helena Montana, with strong spice and floral notes dominating the dark berry flavors. Tannins are a bit youthfully tough today.
