A masterclass in Highland malt blending, this 45-year-old whisky draws together a variety of distillery profiles and cask types to create something that is, quite deliberately, greater than the sum of its parts. The nose is invitingly rich, laden with muscovado sugar and soft caramel, while the palate delivers a lavish, mouth-coating texture with lively interplay between sherbet brightness and oak tannins.

Crafted from a thoughtful combination of hogsheads and sherry butts, An Organised Whole begins with a bold sherried presence before revealing a gentler, sweeter side shaped by American oak influence. Harmonious, layered and deeply characterful, it showcases the artistry of blending mature Highland malts into a seamless, beautifully balanced whisky that rewards slow appreciation.

Age, Provenance and Rarity

For almost one hundred years, generations of the Gordon family have carefully laid down stocks of whisky for special occasions and personal consumption. This rare collection has become known as House of Hazelwood, after the family’s Dufftown home – Hazelwood House.

Today, the collection has grown to become the greatest inventory of aged Scotch whisky held anywhere in the world. Spanning seven decades and every corner of Scotland. The House of Hazelwood range represents the first time bottlings from these casks have been made available to the public. Each whisky is as interesting as it is unique whether they are rare old blends which have been maturing for decades or casks from long-closed distilleries.
