Established in 1996 as a joint project between Baron Philippe de Rothschild of Château Mouton-Rothschild and Concha y Toro, with the singular aim of producing a Bordeaux First Growth equivalent in Chile.
Fruit is sourced from 60 hectares of vines located in the Puente Alto subzone of the Maipo Valley – an area identified as perfect for Cabernet Sauvignon with its stony soils, hot days and cool nights.
. The 2015 is a sumptuous blend of 69% Cabernet Sauvignon, 24% Carmenere, 5% Cabernet Franc, 5% Petit Verdot and 2% Merlot, matured in new French oak barriques for 18 months. It is laden with concentrated yet juicy black fruit and has a subtle herbal streak throughout. Though perfectly approachable already there is enough underlying power and ample tannin to see this age well for up to 15 years.

A Cabernet Sauvignon blended with 24% Carménère, 5% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot from Puente Alto, Maipo, aged for 18 months in barrels and clay vats due to the hot year. The usual local black currant flavors are present, along with maraschino cherry. Complex, with clear influence from the oak, this is an alcoholic wine with a firm structure and taut feel. A serious-minded balance between freshness and flavor allows it to breathe pleasantly.Joaquin Hidalgo1st March 2020
