Absenta La Loca, bottled around the 1950s, is a historical Spanish absinthe that reflects the traditional production styles of the mid-20th century. During this period, Spain remained one of the few countries where absinthe production was legal and flourishing. The nose is intense and herbal, showing notes of aniseed, wormwood, fennel and a distinct hyssop perfume. On the palate, the spirit is powerful and concentrated, with a sharp bitterness that is characteristic of authentic wormwood-driven absinthe.
