AA Badenhorst Secateurs Chenin Blanc 2025 is a dry white Chenin Blanc from the Swartland region. This wine undergoes fermentation in concrete tanks and old oak barrels. It is produced from bush vines planted in weathered granite soils, contributing to the wine`s mineral character. The winery, founded by Adi Badenhorst, is known for its commitment to sustainable practices and traditional winemaking techniques, and is one of the leading wine producers in Swartland.

The 2025 Chenin Blanc Secateurs sees no new oak. This is bright and fresh on the nose, with citrus peel and light orange pith scents. The palate is well balanced, with a lovely texture, hints of orange rind and walnut on the entry, with a slightly smoky finish. Very fine. Neal Martin2nd October 2025

Intense, creamy nose that smells like a much more expensive wine. The palate is scrawnier than the nose suggests. But if it’s pure Chenin perfume at a good price you’re after, this is your wine. Added acid perhaps a bit obvious on the end? GV(JR)
