Caillez-Lemaire is a small, family-owned Champagne house located in Damery, in the heart of the Champagne region. The house was founded in 1860 by Jean-Baptiste Caillez and has been passed down through the family ever since. Their vineyards are located in some of the most prestigious terroirs in Champagne, including Damery, Avize, Bouzy, and Verzenay. The 2011 Cuvée Jadis displays a deep gold colour with aromas of white flowers, citrus fruits, and brioche. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and well-balanced, with notes of apple, pear, and honey. The finish is long and lingering.
