Glen Moray
A Riverside Distillery
Constructed in 1897 on the site of a former brewery on the banks of the River Lossie in Elgin, Glen Moray distillery endured a stop-start early history before it was purchased by Glenmorangie owner Macdonald & Muir in 1920. The company (renamed Glenmorangie plc in 1996) remained in control until the early 2000s, when Glen Moray was purchased by LVMH. The French spirits group La Martiniquaise purchased the distillery from LVMH in 2008.
