Gevrey-Chambertin Champeaux

Champeaux is in fact a patchwork of small parcels with varied aspect, meaning that the character of the wines produced here very much depends on the specific plot in question and the domaine which farms the land. Generally speaking however, the vineyard faces east, which gives it a slightly cooler mesoclimate than surrounding vineyards. Nevertheless the Pinot Noirs produced here can be memorably rich, seductive and long-lived.
