Wagner Stempel Riesling 2024 is a dry white wine hailing from the Rheinhessen region in Germany, crafted by Daniel Wagner at the Wagner-Stempel estate. This estate bottling is sourced from the cooler, more exposed sites of Siefersheim, characterised by porphyry and volcanic soils. The wine is produced with an emphasis on expressing mineral nuances, reaching an alcohol content of 12.5%. Indigenous yeasts ferment the fruit in stainless steel and large oak barrels, retaining the wine`s vibrant acidity. The tasting profile includes notes of green apple, wet stones, and citrus zest, culminating in a lean mouthfeel that underscores the estate`s focus on precision in winemaking.

The 2024 Riesling is from across Wagner's sites, mostly from Siefersheim, all fermented spontaneously in stainless steel and in oak. Tender citrus peel on the nose signals the freshness, brightness and slenderness of 2024. It is fresh, juicy, light and bright, with a touch more residual sugar than usual. Ripe peach and apple mingle with bright lemon on the defined nose and palate. Surprising hint of red fruit for good measure. Lively acidity and clear contours sculpt the juicy core. Lingering, zesty finish. (PS)
