Tembela Wines Syrah 2021 is a dry white wine produced from a single vineyard in the Durbandville region of South Africa. Tembela winemaker Banele Vakele is the assistant winemaker of former Cape Point winemaker Duncan Savage. "The 2021 Syrah has a tightly-wound, earthy nose, Provençal herbs emerging with aeration. It just needs a little more delineation. The palate is medium-bodied with moderate depth and gentle grip, but like the aromatics, it just requires a touch more complexity and tension on the finish."  Neal Martin, 2022

Fruit from the Swartland and Constantia. Deep but bright crimson. A little bit smoky/savoury as well as the elegance of fine black fruit. Meaty and savoury on the palate. Fresh, chewy, a little bit sweet-sour at the moment. Embryonic with an attractive dark/charry (not oaky) aftertaste. (JH)
