First released in 1964, Bin 707 perfectly reflects the Penfolds ‘House Style’ through a Cabernet Sauvignon lens. It is a multi-regional blend with fruit sourced from Coonawarra, McLaren Vale, Barossa Valley and Adelaide Hills, matured in new American oak for 20 months. The 2017 is an immensely compelling release that is big, powerful and sleek. Dirnk 2022-2040.

Aged in American oak, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Bin 707 stands out for its bold aromas of vanilla, tobacco and cassis. This year, it's close to 40% each from Coonawarra and McLaren Vale, with smaller proportions from Barossa Valley and the Adelaide Hills. It's full-bodied and rich, with a velvety mouthfeel, great intensity and super length. Yes, it's embryonic, but it's not unapproachable, much like any other high-quality New World Cabernet these days, with the ability to age for two decades or more.Joe Czerwinski3rd October 2018

Muscular, concentrated, powering ahead with momentum and energy, deep rich damson plum in colour. Concentrated and intense, crackling campfire, cigar box, roasted coffee bean, aniseed, fennel, turmeric, black pepper, liqourice, powerful, with the relief offered (and needed) of mandarin, orange peel, slate, crayon, mint, great quality, hard to argue with. 100% new American oak for ageing, Peter Gago chief winemaker.Jane Anson29th May 2024

Saturated ruby. Expansive, smoke-tinged aromas of ripe red and blue fruit liqueur, candied flowers, sandalwood, coconut and pipe tobacco show superb definition and spicy lift. Stains the palate with alluringly sweet cherry-cola, blackcurrant jam, mocha, vanilla and fruitcake flavors that show noteworthy depth as well as energy. A minerally nuance appears with air and drives an extremely long, gently tannic finish that echoes the cherry and floral notes.Josh Raynolds1st December 2021
