Duty Charges

Transparent Billing and Rate Calculations

Annual Billing: Clients are invoiced annually based on the wines stored in the preceding year.
Case Equivalents: A case is defined as 9 litres of wine (typically twelve 750ml bottles), ensuring clarity in pricing.
Pro-Rata Charges: Storage fees are charged on a per-bottle basis, and wines stored for part of a month will be billed accordingly.

How to Use Our Bonded Storage

Purchase en primeur or under-bond wines from Hedonism Wines.
Automatically enjoy twelve months of free storage at our bonded storage when you open your storage account.
After twelve months, your storage will continue at the rates outlined above, with quarterly invoicing.
When you are ready to receive your wines, simply request delivery. Most orders are fulfilled within 3-4 working days.

Gobelsburg Tradition 3 Year Old Ed 853 is a non-vintage white wine from the Kamptal region of Austria. This bottling is part of a series that pays homage to the traditional winemaking methods of the 19th century, involving the use of large wooden casks and a multi-vintage blend. The Edition 853 represents a selection of Grüner Veltliner and Riesling matured for three years, resulting in a profile of baked apples, honey and dried herbs. It offers a complex and textured palate with a soft acidity and a long, savoury finish.

The NV Tradition Heritage Cuvée 3 Years Edition 850 is a multi-vintage blend based on the 2018 vintage combined with the 2016 Renner and the 2016 Gaisberg. The inaugural bottling displays a golden-yellow color along with a rich, highly refined and flinty bouquet of great complexity, intensity and charm. Nothing reductive here—this is as seductive as Tannhäuser’s Venusberg, and there is nothing but temptation due to some Traminer-like aromas. Enormously rich and refined on the palate, this is an intense and powerful yet also substantial white of great complexity, grip and tension. The texture is almost oily but mineral-vital and elegant, whereas the unity of fine mineral acidity and tannin structure develops a spectacularly long finish that intermediately made me think of a Sporen Alsace Grand Cru. This is a sustainable cuvée whose parts were racked every six months from one cask to another. Tasted at the domaine in June and again in July and August 2021.

Legacy of fine Austrian winemaking

With a documented history dating back to 1171, when Cistercian monks acquired their first vineyards in Langenlois, Schloss Gobelsburg is one of the oldest wineries in Austria. Gobelsburg owes its reputation to those Cistercian monks whose devotion was embodied by the credo: ‘Qui bon vin boit dieu voit’ – ‘Whosoever drinks well sees God’. In 1996 the estate moved out of monastery hands, and is now managed by Michael and Eva Moosbrugger.

Schloss Gobelsburg produces some of the finest Rieslings and Grüner Veltliners in Austria: most famously from the stony terraces of Heiligenstein and Gaisberg for Riesling; and the more loess-concentrated sites of Steinsetz, Renner, Grub and Lamm for Grüner Veltliner. In addition to these terroir-driven, ageworthy, single-site whites, the estate produces a Brut Reserve, traditional-method sparkling wine, Pinot Noir and Sankt Laurent reds, as well as some haunting noble sweet wines. Also look out for the estate’s Tradition range: wines made using the traditional methods used in the 19th century that offer a true taste of Austria’s rich vinous history.
