The 2021 Corimbo is a red wine hailing from the Ribera del Duero region, crafted by Bodegas La Horra, a project of the renowned Rioja winery Bodegas Roda. This vintage comprises 100% Tinta del País (Tempranillo), sourced from ageing organic vineyards in La Horra and Roa. The wine undergoes 14 months of maturation in a carefully selected mix of French and American oak barrels. Its structure reveals a blend of red and black fruit aromas, alongside herbal notes and subtle oak nuances.

The 2021 Corimbo was produced with Tinto Fino from vines between 25 and 30 years of age, from small plots in La Horra, Roa and other villages around them, and it fermented in French oak vat and matured for 14 months in oak barrels, 80% French and 20% American. It comes in at 14.5% alcohol, with a pH of 3.72 and 4.9 grams of acidity. It`s higher pitched than the 2022 that I tasted next to it. it has an herbal hint that provides freshness, the tannins have a different quality here, and the ripeness is better here. 50,902 bottles produced. It was bottled in August 2023.

The 2021 Corimbo is made from Tinta del País from Ribera del Duero and was aged for 14 months, including up to 20% in American oak. Sunny at heart, it delivers black cherry, herbs and blackberry aromas with pure fruit expression. The palate is intense and juicy, with light chalky grip and a lightly tannic finish, filling the mouth with flavor. A structured, flavorful Ribera from a warm, powerful yet balanced vintage.
