I began my lifelong love affair with fine food & wine at the age of 17, when I found myself polishing glasses & pilfering cheese after school in a luxury wine bar & delicatessen nestled in a quiet corner of my native Buckinghamshire. And although no relationships come without their challenges, I'm glad to report that love has endured for over 15 years now.
During this time, I was able to fortify my knowledge and deepen my passions with a series of roles in various independent bars and bottle shops, before taking the enviable opportunity to study winemaking full time. I would go on to achieve an Oenology & Viticulture BSc. a WSET Diploma, winemaking experience in 5 different countries and the chance to represent the UK in the 2015 Europa Winemakers Championships. I went on to join Hedonism Wines shortly afterwards as part of the sales team, before taking a short break to squeeze in an extra MSc. in winemaking for good measure and then returning to join the management team.
I've been associated with Hedonism wines now for over 10 years now and I'm deeply grateful to be a part of the team still. From our exceptional stock and unique tasting experiences, to our knowledgeable staff and diverse clientele, it's the pinnacle of epicurean delights and bacchanalian pleasure in the heart of one of the greatest cities in the world, and I couldn't be more pleased to be a part of it.
I'd like to think that in future I'll go on to pursue my studies further by undertaking an Oenology PhD., or even the mythical MW qualification, but failing that I'd be equally satisfied with retiring to the roasted slopes of the Rhone or Australia's Barossa Valley where I can one day make a wine of my own.
