Champagne Louis Roederer is one of the last great independent, family-run Champagne Houses, and traces its roots back to 1833 when aesthete and entrepreneur Louis Roederer first inherited this legendary House.

 Launched in September 2021, Louis Roederer Collection 242 replaced the much-loved and best-selling Brut Premier NV. It is a blend of 42% Chardonnay, 36% Pinot Noir and 22% Meunier. The complex assemblage includes 34% of perpetual reserve wines, 10% of reserve wines aged in oak and 56% from the 2017 vintage, of which 34% has undergone malolactic fermentation. It is a beautifully balanced expression, boasting notes of Mirabelle plums, lemon zest, vanilla and a savoury edge.

The 2007 is a slightly adjusted blend of 57% Pinot Noir and 43% Chardonnay with aromas of orchard fruit and honeysuckle.  In 1982, Champagne Louis Roederer founded the Roederer Estate in Mendocino County’s fog-shrouded Anderson Valley. All fruit is grown on the estate and is farmed organically and biodynamically, with meticulous attention to detail paid in the vineyards. This is a Traditional Method sparkling wine composed of roughly 60% Chardonnay and 40% Pinot Noir, aged for a minimum of two years on lees and containing a portion of oak-aged reserve wines. It is crisp, elegant and refreshing with notes of pear, apple, citrus peel, spice and toasted hazelnuts.

 1996 Cristal Rosé Vinothèque is a remarkable wine bottle-aged on lees for 10 years and left to rest for a further 10 years post-disgorgement. The result is complex aromas of dried fruit, hazelnuts, cocoa beans and lemon with aeration revealing notes of sugared almonds and roasted pine nuts. On the palate it is silken and generous flowing to a long, sensuous finish delicately laced with smoke.
