Having worked harvests at Chateau Angelus, Alain Graillot, Wither Hills and esteemed Stellenbosch winery, Rustenberg, Adi Badenhorst bought a farm in the Paardeberg and established his own winery. Over a decade on, he is consistently making some of the finest and most characterful wines in the Cape.
The Secateurs wines represent his second-tier, entry level red and white. The 2019 Red Blend is composed of classical the Southern Rhône varieties Cinsault, Shiraz and Grenache. It is aged in foudres and concrete tanks ensuring plenty of fresh, perfumed and spicy bramble fruit. It is smooth and supple but with delicate grip and excellent freshness.
