Dennis Malcolm's links to Glen Grant could not be stronger. The Master Distiller was born on the grounds on the distillery in 1946, joining the team as an apprentice in 1961. Dennis now oversees all aspects of production at Glen Grant, one of Speyside's most iconic producers of single malt Scotch.

We caught up with Dennis to talk about all things Glen Grant and celebrate the start of his 61st year in the industry - Slàinte Mhath!

Located in the idyllic Speyside town of Rothes, the Glen Grant distillery is one of the top five best-selling distilleries in the world. This 10-year-old single malt offers enticing aromas of ripe orchard fruits, vanilla and toffee. The palate has a slightly oily texture, with zesty flavours, apples and honeysuckle.

Launched in 2021, the Glen Grant 15 Year Old is a notable new addition to the Rothes-based distillery’s core range. Crafted by master distiller Dennis Malcolm in the run-up to his 60th anniversary in the industry, this batch strength release is bottled at 50%.

It has been aged exclusively in ex-bourbon barrels, resulting in an intensified expression of the delicate style Glen Grant is known for. This fruity and floral Speyside whisky boasts notes of honey, vanilla, and gentle spice. The aging process in ex-bourbon barrels enhances these flavors, creating a rich and complex profile that distinguishes it from other expressions in the range.

An exclusive, limited-edition release from Glen Grant Distillery, this 60-year-old single malt scotch is a celebration of the six-decades-long career of Glen Grant’s own Dennis Malcolm, one of Scotland’s longest-serving distillers. This luxurious offering is from a single Oloroso Sherry Cask No. 5040 that was filled in October 1960, drawn from the cask in April 2021, Dennis` 60th anniversary with the company, and bottled at 52.8% ABV. Every one of the 360 decanters have been made from hand-blown crystal glass, designed by world renowned Glencairn Studio, and are based on the design of the distillery`s unique tall slender pot stills.
