Founded in the 19th century, Tenuta Il Poggione is a historic estate in Montalcino, particularly known for its rich and dense Brunello wines. The estate covers an impressive area of 530 hectares, with 140 hectares planted to vines. The Brunello di Montalcino is produced exclusively from Sangiovese grapes, hand-harvested from the oldest vines on the estate. The wine is aged for 36 months in large French oak barrels followed by an extended bottle aging.
