Domaine Francois Bertheau Bonnes-Mares 2011 is a full-bodied Burgundy red wine from the Grand Cru climat od Bonnes-Mares in the Côte de Nuits. Located in Chambolle-Musigny, Domaine Bertheau has been managed by Francois Bertheau since 2003, when he took over from his father Pierre. This 2011 bottling is from the celebrated Chambolle Grand Cru of Bonnes-Mares. "The complex and precise bouquet wafts from the glass in a refined blend of cherries, beetroot, a gorgeous base of chalky soil tones, gamebird, sweet herb tones (including Chambolle’s signature mustard seed), a gentle base of vanillin oak and a topnote of citrus peel. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied, elegant and transparent, with a fine core of fruit, moderate tannins and a long, complex and tangy finish.
