Campania

This southern Italian wine region lies south of Lazio, and is situated between the Mediterranean Sea and the Apennine Mountains. A range of grape varieties are grown here, most notably the white varieties, Fiano and Greco, (for which the key appellations are Fiano di Avellino DOCG and Greco di Tufo DOCG). Explore the old vine Fiano expressions from the renowned Joaquin winery, aged in 500-litre chestnut, acacia and oak casks. Revel in the enticing aromas of peach, pear and lemon to be found in a Conti di Vergada Greco di Tufo. In terms of red wines, the black Aglianico grape variety finds its most celebrated expression in the Taurasi DOCG denomination. Look to the exquisite examples we stock from the likes of the Joaquin winery with their fabulously rare old vine Aglianico, or the ripe black-fruited expression on offer from Villa Raiano.
