Henry, who sadly passed away in 2018, was the nephew of Lalou-Bize Leroy and also the co-director – alongside Aubert de Villaine – of the Domaine de la Romanée-Conti from 1992 until his untimely death. Today, the estate covers approximately 16 hectares of vines of which 12 are in the Côte de Nuits, mainly in the Nuits-Saint-Georges appellation. The winemaking philosophy at DPR is built upon an organic approach to viticulture. The result are wines of extraordinary aromatics and energy, with remarkable acidity and ripe, complex fruits.
