The estate is currently led by Vincent Geantet who joined the business in 1977 before taking on complete control in 1989. Since 2006, Vincent has co-managed the estate with his son, Fabien. This bottling is from the Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru of Le Poissenot, which tends to produce Pinot Noirs with a lighter and more mineral profile than the neighbouring Grancds Crus of Chambertin and Clos de Bèze. \"A pretty and beautifully layered nose combines notes of cool red and dark currant, spice and a whiff of earth. The delicious, intense and overtly mineral-driven middle weight flavors possess first-rate depth on the balanced and sneaky long finish.
