MacRaild selected these casks to highlight the oily, industrial `funk` and maritime grit that defined the region before modern wood management shifted profiles toward cleaner fruit. The 21 years of maturation in refill wood allows the heavy spirit character to remain the protagonist, resulting in a waxy texture.
