Poggio gli Angeli`s La Glera is produced from younger vines of the estate in Castelnuovo (part of the Brunello di Montalcino zone). Vinification is the same as for the estate`s flagship Brunellos, however La Glera is aged for just four months in Slavonian oak, with a further two months` ageing in bottle before release. The wine is medium-bodied and approachable with notes of dried flowers, cherry, currants and pomegranate, along with light oak spice.
