Founded in 1969 by the iconic Dr Bailey Carrodus, Yarra Yering is one of the oldest and most significant wineries in the Yarra Valley region of Victoria and has a stellar reputation for producing some of Australia’s highest quality red table wines.
Dry Red No.1 was first produced in 1973 and is an homage to the wines of Bordeaux. With fruit sourced from the oldest estate vines, the 2016 is a blend of 66% Cabernet Sauvignon, 16% Merlot, 15% Malbec and 3% Petit Verdot, matured in French oak barrels (40% new) for 15 months. A legendary wine with a superb track record for ageing.
