Yabby Lake Vineyard was established in 1998 on the Mornington Peninsula and, over the past two decades, have cemented a reputation for producing exceptional single vineyard Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. The Single Block wines are only produced in exceptional years when parcels stand out for their individual personality.
Block 1 is sourced from Tuerong and is made exclusively from the MV6 clone. It is handpicked, hand-sorted and fermented (25% whole bunch) in French oak vats, prior to maturation in French oak puncheons for 11 months. The 2018 is silky and supple in texture, with deliciously intense and juicy fruit character that carries to a long, elegant finish. Drink now until 2030.
